SAFETY ON YOUR
MOTORCYCLE
At Smartbiker we take road safety very seriously. Britains roads can be a dangerous place, especially out in the elements on two wheels rather than in the metal shell of a car. To make your biking experience as comfortable, safe and enjoyable as possible we recommend the following: Be Prepared! Be fresh and awake, never hung over and always know which route you intend to take. A quick check of the weather forecast will also be a great help! Be Well Equipped! We recommend purchasing specialised motorcycling clothing. Always wear a helmet, protective jacket, trousers, boots and gloves. Also, don't forget your ears. At 70 mph your have to cope with 95 decibels of noise in your helmet! Maintain Your Bike! Regularly check tyres, brakes, battery, lights, oil and chain or shaft. Driving with your lights on all the time increases your visibility to other road users. Be A Considerate Road User! Behave when you are out on your bike. Consider your speed, road position and distance from other traffic. Also, always be aware of your environment and exactly when that next railway crossing will present itself. Get Yourself Trained! Learn all of the skills necessary to handle your bike in a controlled and fluent manner. This is where Smartbiker excel. Contact us for all of your training needs. MORE ROAD SAFETY TIPS FROM THINK!
