WHAT WE'RE
ALL ABOUT...
Having worked for several companies in the past and not having the opportunity
to make change, I found that motorcycle schools were very often stuck in their
own ways, with poor equipment and training techniques and sometimes the
unwillingness to try new things for the better sake of their schools. So
after 'exhausting', pardon the pun, my ideas as an entrepreneur I finally
made the plunge and decided to go at it alone, and give you a
school that is modern, fun, exciting and is equipped with all the latest
technology. The school that is SmartBiker!
SmartBiker
is Different!
At SmartBiker we have an informal, relaxed and friendly approach, subsequently
making you feel equally relaxed for your new exciting experience!
Our team want to create the best atmosphere possible for you to learn
in, and Psychologists have proved the best kind of mental state
to be in to learn is a relaxed state. We don't want to create an intense
atmosphere that will make you nervous and therefore affect your learning
ability. This is why our school has taken this approach to learning. After
all we want you to keep coming back to us.
The next step in making our school different was choosing
the right equipment. The right equipment ensures reliability, good
learning ability and most of all puts the fun-factor into learning. From
good radio communications to contemporary motorcycles we will ensure that
you do enjoy your learning experience.
Our chosen bikes are the ER500 Kawasaki and SR125 Yamaha. We are always
on top of the latest changing technology
and make a point of changing our fleet of machinery every 12-18 months.
All students admit that it's nice to ride
a new machine, no matter what their ability.
Our Training
Methods
Firstly, we don’t have any limit
on the amount of miles we do per lesson and we don’t pick
and choose whom we are training. We are firm believers in "the
more miles under your belt the greater the riders experience will be",
which ultimately improves your skill level. We see this point proved time
and time again. You can talk, talk, talk and talk some more about a U-turn
and do it once, which ultimately does not teach you anything. Or on the
other hand we have created the approach of explaining it, demonstrating
it and allowing you to practise it many times over. Which would you prefer?
After all, the human body does learn through repetition.
This does make a difference to the amount of lessons it takes for you
to pass your test. When compared to some other schools, on estimate, we
work on half the amount of lessons per individual, get a quicker test
date, and of course it’s a whole lot more friendly on the old piggy
bank.
Well, I hope you have a good understanding of how our school operates
and are interested in our training methods and us. We hope to hear from
you soon.
Regards and happy motorcycling! Simon Allan, (Proprietor). |
